Baker School was built on the site of the Hyde Park Pavilion in 1911.
It replaced the original Hyde Park School on Speedway. The photo is
from the Austin History Center collection.

fall of 1941 to the spring of 1942 at Bryker Woods. Bryker Woods
Elementary School opened in the 1930's It originally served grades K-6.

The development date on the photo above is Feb 19, 1943
She taught from the fall of 1942 to, according to AISD records, June 1943 back at Robert E. Lee Elementary. Madeline who was born on July 11, 1944.
The development date on the photo above is May 24, 1943. Mother's note said, '2B class at Robert E Lee.'
