Thomas Robert Carl

The photo above left may be of Thomas Robert Carl. It was among other photos positively identified as Thomas including one in which he stands with four of his sons from his first marriage. Above right is a close-up of Thomas taken from that photo of him and his four sons. The man in the photo on the left looks very much like the older man on the right especially in the shape of the eyebrows and eyelids. In the first photo of a middle aged Thomas, he has a rounder face, but his thinner face in later years could just be from aging. The middle-aged sons in the photo below have more rounded faces, like the photo of Thomas in his middle years.

In this photo the man on the far right has been identified as Barton Arnold Carl. The other sons may be from left, James Harvey Carl, Jessie Jenkins Carl, and Manson Augustus Carl. If you have information on the identities of any of these men, please e-mail ccm@tic.com.
